FAQ

What is Microblading?

Cosmetic tattooing technique used to create the appearance of fuller, more defined eyebrow using a manual handheld tool with a row of tiny needles to deposit pigment under the skin in thin, hair-like strokes.Resulting in a natural-looking, semi-permanent eyebrow lasting approximately two years. Many people opt for microblading to save time in their daily makeup routine, as a solution to sparse, uneven eyebrows or cover a scar.

Microblading alone may not always be sufficient, and this is where 3D Combo Brows come in. The combination of microblading strokes and shading/powder brow creates a beautiful blend of both techniques, particularly ideal for clients with sparse, over-plucked brows who desire a fuller look. Our recommendation would be to opt for 3D Combo Brows for a more voluminous appearance. During your consultation, you can discuss with our expert to finalise your decision to add the 3D Combo Brows to your service.

Typically, the Microblading process lasts around 1.5 hours. It’s important to note that this process cannot be rushed. For Combo 3D Brows, the process may take 2hours. If you are a client with no hair due to Alopecia, please contact our coordinator, as we have a separate appointment time allocation.

It is necessary to consider personal factors like skin type and lifestyle activities such as swimming ,sun exposure etc when contemplating microblading outcomes. Nonetheless, it’s comforting to learn that microblading is a low-maintenance choice for boosting eyebrows. The option to schedule touch-ups as necessary is made easy as NOUSH has a loyalty to her clients that is a set fee of $250 for touch-ups for life. Typically, microblading annual touch-ups require maintenance every 1.5 to 2 years, on average.

we will first apply a 20-minute numbing treatment for your comfort. During this time, you will also fill out necessary consent forms. Noush will perform brow mapping to re-shape your brows and discuss your hair, skin and brow colour options. You are also encouraged to bring in photos of eyebrow shapes you like. The artist will work with you to create a customized brow shape that meets your approval.

The outcome of the procedure is influenced by your health and age. You will be provided with aftercare and healing balm. We do not recommend dry healing. After the first few days of microblading or lip blush your brows may appear up to 40% darker. Following the scabbing period, you will experience the “milky effect,” which will make it seem as if the pigment has entirely disappeared. The skin will continue to recover for the following three weeks, and the pigment will be pulled back up to the surface. A 6-12 week touch-up appointment is recommended for optimal results.

Before the procedure, avoid consuming fish oils for 24hrs. On the day of the procedure, refrain from taking ibuprofen or blood thinners unless approved by a physician. It is not advisable to engage in workouts or exercise on the morning of the procedure. Hypersensitivity can be more pronounced if microblading is done during menstruation. To prevent sneezing and congestion during the procedure, taking an antihistamine is advised for those prone to allergies. Furthermore, it is suggested to limit coffee intake on the day of the procedure.

It’s often recommended to have a touch-up to perfect the look, although it’s not mandatory. Microblading and lip blush is a two-step process involving creating the shape in the first session and adding detail and density in the touch-up session. The perfecting touch-up session can correct any loss of strokes or colour, providing the brows with more life and fullness. If you are satisfied with the results after the first session, there is no need for a touch-up. Lip blush is advised the same.
